How can a " reckless-spending democrat controlled congress " compare to 2.3 trillion $ REPUBLICAN war?

Stimulus for economy? LOL How about stimulus for inflation with record level deficits?

No I am not for "Democatic deficits " . I am against lying , Repubs who runon cut taxes in fact responsible for 75% of US national debt.

Trickle down is another lie, our economy is consumption driven. If you provide more jobs and social programms to the lower and middle class - this triggers consumption.

Tax cuts have been proven time after time to put money back into the economy, stimulate the economy, and actually increase government revenue.

Tax increases do just the opposite.

Most of the budget deficits have been during democratic congresses. When Reagan overhauled the tax system, had not the democratic congress passed bills spending $1.59 for every $1.00 generated we wouldn't have had the deficits. Yet it is so easy to blame Reagan.

Social and government programs do not stimulate the economy, because they receive funding from taxes. They increase the deficit, causing the problem.

Trickle down economics have been proven to work. For example, I receive tax breaks, and by doing so can build four houses for sale this year. I hire architects, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, painters, landscapers, etc to build these houses. That is trickle down economics. It is providing jobs to the middle and lower class individuals.

If I don't have the funds to build these houses, these people do not get the jobs.

Simple concept, and it works.

The highly respected Urban Institute-Brookings Institution Tax Policy Center reports that households with incomes of more than $1 million a year — the richest 0.2 percent of the U.S. population — already are receiving tax cuts averaging $103,000 this year, before these two new tax cuts take effect. The Tax Policy Center finds that the two tax-cut measures in question will give these “millionaires” nearly another $20,000 a year in tax cuts, when the measures are phased in fully.

This raises the question of whether the nation should proceed with these tax cuts at a time when many Katrina survivors remain in difficult straits, when huge sums are being discussed for Katrina relief and recovery, and when cuts in domestic programs — including programs for the poor — are slated for Congressional consideration this fall as part of the reconciliation bills.

"I am for tax cuts if we do not have record REPUBLICAN budget deficits"

Does that imply you would be amenable for tax cuts if their was record Democratic budget deficits?

"Do not you feel it is manipulation and deception?"

No, it is simply the supply-side economic model and trickle down theory. That is all.

I think the government should cut spending, everywhere. We do not need tax cuts, now, to stimulate the economy.

No, I am not for tax cuts for the rich. They should pay accordingly to their exorbitant incomes. I pay my share, and so should they.
