Sadly, I am not looking forward to much. After such a huge year for movies (2007) I have little hope for 2008. I am closing following the development of The Dark Knight. I've been a fan of Batman since I was a small child, and I had issues with Begins... So I'm not overly excited. I am following the news on the new Star Trek movie, however I think J.J. Abrams maybe one of the most over rated directors in Hollywood. Alias lost my attention after one season, Lost bored me from day one and Mission Impossible III was a steaming pile.

I read with interest your list of upcoming movies slated for 2008 release. My pick was not among them. I am most looking forward to
"The Other Boleyn Girl" with Eric Bana, Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman.
I read the novel by Philippa Gregory and thought it was brilliant. It weaves history and a love story together and gives a wonderful view of how life was in the 1500's in England.
The casting of Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman is great...however not too sure about Eric Bana. I am hoping he does a good job and am sure he will. The movie is due out in February 2008.
I just want to add that anything with Russell Crowe in it will be highly anticipated as well.

Well, since I've been living in Asia for about five years, and planning to try South America after the Olympiad, then France or Spain thereafter, I have a special interest in two particular films: "Revolutionary Road" as well as "Mongol" (the latter which covers some of the life of Genghis Khan -- see http://virtualology.com/china/temujingenghiskhan.com/).
"Revolutionary Road" is an idiotropic read, which is actually more fun to ponder rereading, as one simultaneously turns pages imagining how well the characters will be played by the famed actors signed in the lead roles for the upcoming film. After the success of "Titanic"--especially throughout Asia, since this is an obscenely popular film over here--I'm curious to see how their chemistry works a second tiime around. This time, they must feign mutual destruction. Probably will fly, methinks. Kate Winslet is one of the finest at her craft, refined ya might even say.
Actually, I yearn to see an investment in "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader" that rivals the jolly green dough tossed at the success which brought J.R.R. Tolkien stories to the bigscreen. C.S. Lewis books were a staple of young British and American readers from age 4 or 5, forward. It'll be a thrill to watch it unveiled by a master filmmaker. Roman Polanski doing childrens' films? Nah, just kidding. Ron somebody might do a fine hurrah at it, though. What do you think?

I'm looking forward to Sex& the City the movie. I'm a huge fan of the show and I was very sad to see it go off the air. I catch the reruns every now and again and althought its still funny, the show didn't really have a finale for me. I'm pretty sure everyone has the same question on there minds, Will Carrie and Big tie the nott or will he mess up again?? That's why i'm a excited for the release of the movie, maybe Carrie will finally get her happy ending and just maybe she is the marrying kind after all.

There are several movies I'm looking forward to seeing first and foremost is The Dark Knight, I'm hoping to see a very well done portrayal of the Joker, who is, IMHO, one of the best villians in comic book history.
I'm also looking forward to the new Narnia film, Prince Caspian, Indiana Jones and the Harry Potter film.

Without a doubt, The Dark Knight. I'm so excited to see it that I'm willing to pay for a ticket to see I Am Legend on the 14th, just to see the trailer (it's rumored to be shown before I Am Legend). Every bit of news that comes out about this movie (okay, except for the news about the guy getting killed on set) has pointed to the simple fact that this will be the summer blockbuster we've all been waiting for.

I would have to say Saw 1. The first ones, in my opinion are usually the best. But I think this one had the biggest twist at the end. However, it is close between 2 and 3. I saw Saw 4 two nights ago. It wasn't as scary as I would have liked, but there were definitely more twists. Is it true they are contracted to make 7 Saws?

Dark Knight. Batman Begins was the best Batman movie produced, and the follow up with Heath Ledger sounds like another great movie! Hopefully, it will be a trilogy!
