No, no, haha, I am a novice overclocker too I have done this :) it's simple. Remove your CMOS battery (watch-type battery) for a few minutes/hours or whatever it takes (make sure you ground yourself to your case first by touching the bare metal while the computer is off and unplugged, and don't be wearing socks, I've done that one too =O Or if you have your motherboard manual look in it for how to set the BIOS jumper to reset your BIOS. Then you will have to reset any customizations in the BIOS, but don't try the same thing with the CPU frequency again! :D Best of luck to you; God bless and have a wonderful Christmas!

Follow CMOS battery removal advices above, actually before doing that check MB manual for mentions of "Reset Pins" that actually is just a convenience they put on for overclockers done in mistake and need to clear CMOS data; most boards do have them

This has happened to me before just reset the cmos and reboot go back into bios and check settings to make sure they are right this time .Check your manual and see were the cmos jumper is located unplug everything put jumper to clear for 30 seconds then back to normal after that plug everything back in and boot it it should work.I doubt you fried your motherboard or cpu. when the setting are so severly wrong your cmos wont except this and wont boot . try it and see what happens.

Whenever you boot up there is an option to enter setup, it is either to press DEL or F2 or someother depends from system to system. Now when you enter the setup, there is always an option to restore setup defaults. Once you have done that, try to boot up if not, check the power supply. If then also it doesn't boot up, this is what i know to the most. Sorry

If you overclocked the cpu you may have fried it. If you can't even enter the bios again to lower the speed then you probably did kill your computer.

yes, follow the removal of cmos battery, be careful not to stretch the holder out when removing, its very thin metal, don't use too much force or leverage
