....and also keep cutting down forests at the current rate.

A) Please be as detailed as possible.

In answering, please address the fact that man's population on earth is growing, and that the number of people driving cars will only go up, and that we will have to cut down more forests to build more homes, and we will need more factories making things that we use.

Part B) Lastly, but even more importantly, please indicate which politcal party you think is better for the USA, the democrats or the republicans. To win best answer, you should address both parts A and part B.

The intent here is to generate and good discussion and exchange of ideas, which as we know in a free society is a postiive thing. So, I hope the name calling, and absurdly angry rhetoric can be checked at the door.

How incredibly pompous of humans to think that we can alter nature. The earth has been here for billions of years and will far outlive the human race.

Pollution is one thing, the forests are another.

Trees are a crop. The very people that the question implies would be clear-cutting and moving on are the ones with the most vested interest in forest conservation and management. The truth is that the timber companies that harvest are also the ones that replant, because they want there to always be something to cut.

Pollution could become a problem. When it becomes serious enough, massive numbers of people will die, and the smaller number of survivors will create less pollution.

You say "at this rate". The rates of pollution have changed greatly over the last ten to twenty years. Some countries (like the US) have reduced pollution rates while others (China & India) have increased rates of pollution. The bottom line is simply this: if we reach a point where the Earth's air will no longer sustain us we will die off and, after Momma Gaea recovers in a couple of million years, another species will assume their place at the top of the food chain.

To the planet no longer lots. To humanity. nicely extinction has happend to the planet until now. although, humanity will die by using its very own palms. Face the data, we proceed to shrink down trees and pave over plant life for homes, respiration would grow to be a issue.
