As long as they last. I wore out 2 pair this year. 1 was a pair of easy streets that still looked good but had no insides. The other was a pair of sandles. The Easy Streets, I bought in 1994 and the sandles in 1996.

I have over 65 pairs of shoes.
I never out wear them.
I keep them until they are out of style or I don't like them anymore - that is about 1-2 years!!!

Which one of my over 400 pairs are you meaning?
I still have the first pair of shoes that I bought with my own money and that was in 1998. The tread is still good on them.
btw: they are Adidas Running shoes.

Forever! Buy good shoes and take care of them. Shelf them when they go out of style but keep them cuz they'll be back in style someday! My g-ma has some of the hottest shoes I've ever seen and they're AGES old!

If its something like a mary jane or classic pair that never goes out of style then you can keep them forever until there too worn. If it's out of style or you havent worn in a year--donate them. Of course if there worn then they have to go asap. I have a pair of boots that i have had over 10 yrs. They are classic and never go out of style plus they still look brand new :0)
