It's the state in which I live, so I shouldn't be giving advice about it LOL Why don't you get a unisex gift so it won't matter?

Jersey could be either male or female, but I'm betting on a girl's name; it's a district in Britain and a type of cow.
Why not a gift card from someplace neutral like Walmart where the child can pick out his/her own gift?

I'm sorry; I couldn't say. I've never met anyone with that name.
Perhaps you could call the organization that provided the information and see if they can help you with more information about the family. Or you could simply provide gifts that a child of either gender would enjoy.

Jersey is a boys name. I know a guy with the name of Jersey. But I guess it could be a boy or a girls name.

Time to call the place where you got the name, and have them find out. There will be a very disappointed kid on Xmas if you don't.
I think it could be a boy or a girl.

it can be either, is there a thing on the list that says how many and what gender the family has? just asking that because some that i've seen have the family's make up: i.e. 1 mother, 1 father, 3 boys, 4 girls...something along those lines.

i think in the case of a child they may have found it cute to name a girl jersey which i can't understand for the life of me but go with safe things like card game, colors like green, yellow, red. Safe things

Neither, it's a type of cow, shirt, and a state.
Also, that's the wrong word. Weather is a term for what the meteorological conditions outside are; you're looking for "whether".

I am going to go with my gut feeling of Boy but there really is no way to know for sure.
Check and see if there is a contact person! Or go generic and do boy/girl type gifts; games, movies, etc.
