I would recommend going to macy's or Nordstrom or a good department store, everyone could usually find what they're looking for, Also American Eagle has good Jeans for Guys'

I can sort of relate. I'm not thick or overweight but I am curvy and also quite short so jeans never suit me as easily. I would recommend going to the Levi store and getting fitted for a pair of jeans. My sister got it done and she found a perfect pair that complimented her specific shape! :)

my dad has the same problem. he is the one case where pleated pants actually would be better. my dad swears by Ralph Lauren and Brooks Brother's pants. And if your hubby is going to wear them OVER the belly he will probably need suspenders. belt won't do much good.
