In the US it is customary to pay the rent in advance for that particular month. In other words, December's rent is due on December 1 (unless you and the tenant agree to change that date to another).

Everywhere I have rented, rent is due the 1st of each month, but the tenant has until the 5th to pay it. If it is not paid by the 5th the owner can start the eviction process. So, your tenant's rent for December is due December 1st.

The end of the month is pretty muich the same as the beginning of the month. If he paid for November the day he moved in on November 1st, then it sounds like he should have paid you for December on December 1st.

Rent is due and payable on the first of each month, one month in advance. December's rent is due December 1st which will cover 12/1 - 12/31.

What about the security deposit, or did you forget that also. did you not get a lest a six month lease? one year is standard.
The Rent is due on the first and should be in your hand never later than 72 hours therafter.
You must have inherited the house because you do not seem to have done any damn thing in hell to have aquirred it of your own efforts.

This depends on the terms of your lease. Does your lease say the 1st of the month or the last of the month?

Your lease is the governing document that outlines the terms of your rental agreement with your tenant including any "grace periods" and late fees.
