Well, lot of people face this problem. Basically because their minds are not still. Have lot of things to do and lot of responsibilities in their heads. As a student in psychology I advise... the best thing to do when you are aware that you are becoming angry, try to focus on the anger or the sensation and be quite aware that u are getting angry and think hard that anger is something that you do not need to occur! Keep thinking. If it is a person that you get angry with, try thinking of him this way, 'that's the person's nature...I don't care...I need to dodge him and get away from him...I'm ok...I'm ok...I'm calming down...calming down!' this would be hard for a first timer but keep practicing. Next trick is to count up 1 to 10 and backwards slowly imagining numbers in ur head! Good luck with ur problem!

I used to have a problem similar to this--and I'm not a violent person. I went to the doctor and was diagnosed as having chronic depression. This was before everyone had "depression", so I tend to believe that is what it really is. It might also be that you need a bit of anger management counseling in order to curb that temper. You're not alone though, so seek the help & feel better! Good luck!

Write a journal and be descriptive, saying exactly how you feel. Then you don't have to say it to someone, just a book.
Or make yourself a dartboard/target thing to put on your wall, and a soft sponge ball or toy and everytime you get angry, throw the ball/toy at the target, and score yourself for where it lands. This turns it into a game and perhaps will take your mind off your anger and revert it to fun.

Go walking. Whenever I get mad or upset I go walking and it always clears my nerves.
