Kayfabe: Hulk Hogan. The man is the biggest draw wrestling has ever seen. He was the hype man that led WWF into the mainstream

Unkayfabe/Strictly on Wrestling Ability Alone: Toss up between Ric Flair and Curt Hennig. Flair set the standard in wrestling heeldom and put on some clinics, and still could if given the air time in my opinion, but Hennig was an innovator in the ring, had a great look, sold a great gimmick that would've been a disaster if put on anyone else but him. I'll give it to Ric simply because he's the bigger name and bigger draw.

Oh, and Goldberg shot up to stardom faster than Cena. John had his awkward gimmickless rookie year of wearing biker shorts and using a flying cross body and a spinout powerbomb as a finisher. John did have a fairly meteoric rise, but I can think of bigger pushes. I also wouldn't consider him the best wrestler of all time, and I'm sure you'll get majorly bashed for saying he is.

The only reason Cena went to the top so fast was because there was no one else who Vince could push because most of the guys in WWE now aren't talented.

The greatest wrestler is probably Bret Hart but he best entertainers were Austin and The Rock.

Me! But if you are looking for someone that was with the following outfits: WWWF/WWF/WWE, TNA, AWA, NWA, NWF, AWF, CWF. There are a lot of great wrestlers in the business. Hogan comes to mind, after all he knew how to promote himself. Buddy Rogers, Stan Hansen, Eric The Red, The Beast, Great Baba, Quick-draw Rick McGraw, Iron Sheik, the Sheik( Ed Farat) Bret Hart, Stu Hart, Billy red Lyons, Whipper Billy Watson. The list can go on for hours and days.
There really isn't one that can be the greatest of all time....it all depends on the promotion that they work for.

Candle is right. You have obviously been watching wrestling for 2 to 3 years if u think Cena is the best. I hate "fans" like you. You know nothing about the talent and feel that u can name a joke (Cena) as the best ever. and Candle is right, Goldberg was a faster push.

tie between Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels. (sorry, can't select one of them)

lol, go see the montral screwjob and all the feud, and once you see that HBK doesn't even tap to Brets sharpshooter, come back here and tell me for instance how believable was to see John Cena making HBK tap to a STFU at wm :P

I respect Cena as a wrestler (his "champion" character sucked) but anyways, I wouldn't go as far as calling him the best wrestler. he needs a whole lot of experience to become trully good. Also a complete heel turn could do wonders for him.

Well Bret Hart was the greatest ever! He is the greatest, most technical guy in wwf/e history. There is a huge reason why they call The Best there is, The Best there was and The Best there ever will be.

in terms of who was the best employee of any wrestling company it would have to be hulk hogan...everyone knew who he was even if they didnt watch the show...he was the biggest draw wrestling has ever seen...Also doing things like slamming andre the giant sykrocketed his popularity that much more....

in terms of wrestling ability its really hard to say because everyone has a different meaning for wrestling...alot of people say that batista or cena have no talent but they do...just in their own style...i think bret hart was one of the greatest technical wrestlers...undertaker one of the best showman, rey mysterio the best high flyer...i could go on....if i were to pick one wrestler though who was the best at their style it would have to be the undertaker....a big part of his game is his intimidation and i think he is one of the best people to pull off a gimmick like that
