I think this years class will remain intact for the most part inspite of the horrible season. A huge factor behind that is Carr leaving Michigan. These schools compete for recruits in the midwest. Notre Dame also recruits heavily in Texas and the Longhorns season wasnt stellar enough to pull recruits away from the Irish. You also have to realize that Notre Dame has a huge nationwide tv audience with thier deal with NBC. Alot of draw to be able to play on national tv most every Saturday.
I am pretty excited in the hopes of them rebuilding the program next year as my son was just accepted to Notre Dame for college next year. I imagine ill be making quite a few road trips to see them play.

All great teams have a terrible season every once in a while. It was bound to happen to Notre Dame someday and this year was their time. But still kids want to go to Notre Dame because of the Notre Dame tradition and all of the great players that have come out of that school.

It would take a major effort to actually be worse than last year, so an improvement is in order. 4 wins. Notre Dame's schedule: Army Navy Air Force Marines Coast Guard Boy Scouts Girl Scouts Brownies Sister Mary's Orphanage The orphanage is expected to have a down year. I think the Irish can beat them this year.

I don't think it will hurt them, at least in the short term. Those kids are attending Notre Dame for the tradition more than their accomplishments the past few years. It's a school that offers its athletes more than just a place to play football.
I'm not a fan, but it's a very good school. And don't forget - all of their games are broadcast nationally....that's pretty attractive for those wanting exposure.

Maybe a little but teams like Notre Dame have such a strong tradition one season shouldn't affect it to much. I still doubt they will end up with the top class when its all said and done.

It will but good recruiters will turn it around with statements like, 'with a player like you, we will improve our running game and return the Notre Dame Glory. YOu could be the player to return Notre Dame to its national prominance'
It will surely hurt but very little.

I think it will to some extent. Last season ND had I think two players jump ship at the last minute even though they had committed to Weis. I don't think the commits realized how badly ND would struggle. So there might be two or three who get nervous and decommit due to the bad showing last season.
Lets be realisitic if you play on a bad team like this season your talents will not be seen. You need a good team to be able to make plays and not sure if ND coaching will allow that.

No, I would go to Notre Dame in a heartbeat if they recruited me.
They have tradition, good coaches and great facilities.... just a terrible year.

Their #1 recruiting class will remain intact... however it will definitely affect the year after.
PB - you're an idiot... no one is more televised than notre dame who has their won contract with nbc.
