Food and drinks on the strip are expensive.. and you'll get no breaks on New Years!! Plus add the fact that your hot clubs all have a cover of about $30.00 per person.
If you stick to the lounges and casino bars - you'll save a ton in cover charges. Also, to save on drink prices - play in the casino - your drinks are free - but tip your waitress - or she'll avoid you! You can also play the games at the bar and get free drinks - but ask what the minimums are first!
Transportation - to see the whole strip, get a day pass for "The Deuce". It's the double decker bus and it's only $5.00 to ride all day and night (24 hr. pass). You can catch a Deuce almost every 10 min - and you can also take the deuce to Fremont street downtown.
Fremont Street is where the food, drinks, and gambling are allot cheaper - although it's not as nice as the strip - it's dated.
Here is a link that will help... and be sure to have LOTS of FUN!!!

$1200 comes out to $400 a day and that is plenty, especially if you don't gamble much. I just went for three nights over Halloween, and I spent just right at that much (excluding flight/hotel) and I gambled some also. Transportation is not to bad, especially if you have a few people to help split cab costs and such. Cover charges at clubs can get expensive, but show up earlier in the night and you might get a deal. We went to the Palms the night after Halloween and the cover was $20 for three clubs (Ghostbar, Moon, and Playboy), but over new years it may be more. The casino lobby bars don't have cover charges, but the drinks are often more expensive than in the clubs (Caesar's double Jim & Coke = $16-$22, Palms clubs double Jack & Coke =$12). Also, it helps to have some alcohol in the room so you can get your buzz there for a lot less money. Good luck and have a great time!

The cover at clubs is not cheap, running from $50 up and probably higher for New Year's Eve. But if you watch your money and divide it by the days, that amount should be ok. Walk when you can between hotels because just the "drop" when you enter a cab is about $3.50 plus mileage and time travels. There is a cheap bus system that runs the Strip but I do not recommend the monorail unless you buy a daily pass.
BYW drinking at all clubs is VERY expensive. I recommend you limit the booze there because a bottle of some vodka is as high as $1,000 a bottle.
Have fun. Be careful. Oh, and remember that prostitute in Vegas is NOT legal. The closest bordello where safe sex is practices is in Pahrump!

The most expensive part is paid for. You don't gamble much so that is plenty of money unless you are paying for other people then that could get expensive. It's better if you are staying on the strip. They close off to traffic early in the evening and the casinos close and lock their doors and only allow people who are staying at their hotel into the casino that night.
The strip is free but Freemont Street has an admission on New Years eve and I thinks it's about 45 bucks per person ... not sure though.
Have fun and enjoy yourself

1200 should be fine just limit the amount of money you are willing to lose each day. When I go I give myself a 75 dollar a day allowance. On the good days when I win a little that 75 can last all night and sometimes be there for the next day. (play blackjack, or craps those are the games with the best odds) also some of the comedy shoes are reasonable and a ton of fun try "the amazing Jonathon" great show lots of gags.

$1,200 is more than enough for three nights of fun. Splurge a little bit for bottle service on your birthday at your favorite club. Have a nice meal at your hotel on new year's eve and see what develops.

you need to do it on $500, the 1st time my spouse and that i went thats approximately what we spent over the path of each and every week. We did no longer gamble a good purchase and did no longer bypass to the fanciest eating places yet we had a stable time, ate nicely and introduced souvenirs abode for each individual. the respond asserting that $12 for breakfast and $25-$40 for dinner isn't authentic, specific you could spend that in case you % yet you may get by way of much greater low-priced than that. eating on Fremont highway is greater low-priced than eating on the strip, for one. yet even on the strip, you could eat plenty greater low-priced than what they reported. One advice to maintain some money is to hit the Walgreens or CVS on your pop/water and snacks. the dep. shops interior the resorts are far greater than-priced (final time i replaced into there, it replaced into $3 for a bottle of water and $6.50 for a bag of doritos) yet you will pay much less at Walgreens or CVS. we could merely say this: Las Vegas is as high priced, or as low-priced, as you're making it.
