I have the celestial sign (1/2 moon 1/2 sun) on my right ankle with a wrap around vine (line an ankle bracelet). It was a birthday gift from my Mother 2 years ago. i was 36. I love it and every time I look at my ankle I smile. sometimes I forget I have it. lol. I am looking to get another one now. I would like to get a lower back tattoo of the Warriors in Pink. They are the breast cancer symbols developed by Ford Motors. I would also like to get a butterfly incorporated in there somewhere. 2 weeks ago my Sister died of Breast Cancer and I would like to do it in honor of her and all the other brave and inspirational men and women fighting this fight. She loved butterflies as well as they signified a free spirit to her.

Ida - Although there are rumors that a lumbar tattoo will interfere with an epidural there is no proof. There are more sites and information that actually say they DO NOT interfere with an epidural. Just wanted to make sure that you knew in case you weren't getting one because of it.

No, I really don't like pain, especially pain of my choosing.

I have a neighbor who went to Myrtle Beach bike run, when he came back, I thought he had an accident with his bike and hurt his head but it turned out he tatooed his head with flames on each side. He said after a bottle of Tequila, it didn't hurt too much.

I used a drill to assemple some furniture, the drill slipped and I drilled a screw into my knee, it is a scar...does that count as a tattoo??? LOL

Getting a tattoo was on the list of things to do before I turned 50 and I missed it. Now I dont`t know if it will happen at all.

Yes, I do. It's a butterfly on my right hip (rear). It was something I thought about for a couple of years. When the day arrived, I took my daughter with me (she was 23 at the time) and she held my hand. And, yes, IT HURT! But, I've never regretted it. I love it! I'm 57, and that was 5 years ago.

Does anyone remember the Bob Newhart Show episode where his secretary was having a tattoo on her behind removed? She got a butterfly tattoo when she was younger and more full-figured. Now that she was older and skinny, it looked like a shriveled bug. Unfortunately, she got a huge crush on the doctor who was to remove it, and was totally embarrassed to have him see her "bug". That was a good show.

Not yet! I doubt I will. My idea of daring is to get my hair cut at a new place. I know my hair will grow back if the haircut is bad. If I regret the tattoo, I'm stuck with it for life.
