I found a stone in the rollers which couldn't have done it much good. I've since replaced the cartridge and ran the clean nozzles and heads program several times. Is there anything else I can do before I bin it?

Sounds like you have damaged the print heads, if you have run the self test theres nothing left now but the bin.

Maybe one of the important printing component(s) is or are not working well like the printer head must have block the new ink from coming out and the clogging must have been very bad due to the old ink usage. Perhaps you should try sending it to a computer shop or somebody to repair the printer or get a new printer head. I own an epson printer once by it spoiled and couldn't be repaired so got to get a new printer. If worst come to worst, you may have to buy a printer but this time try buying HP printer instead.

Is this the first time you replaced the ink? I used to work at Geek Squad in Best Buy and the Epson printers were notorious to stop working after the ink was replaced. I don't know why. 90% of the time we had to exchange it per warranty requests.

Other than that, it probably either needs a good cleaning (can air, Q-tips and a rag) or just dump it and buy another. Not worth paying money to repair inkjets.

Does it feed paper? if so, did you remove the tape from the cartridge? Sorry, I have to ask, some people forget that part.

Probably time to bin it, new printers are cheap and repairs are expensive.
