Rudolph came to life in 1939 when the Chicago-based Montgomery Ward company asked one of their copywriters, 34 year-old Robert L. May to come up with a Christmas story they could give to the shoppers as a promotional gimmick.
May, drawing in part on the tale of the Ugly Duckling and his own background (he was often taunted as a child for being shy, small, and slight), settled on the idea of an underdog ostracized by the reindeer community because of a physical abnormality: a glowing red nose.

A little history :
Here is a little secret Rudolf was hooked on cocaine. We was a born into a society that treated him differently as a young buck. He was bad a sports and games. Tried to hook up with a doe, Did not turn out well. Then he tried to hide his problems by covering up his nose with mud. Again he failed, He later meet up with a dentist to get more prescription drugs, Then once he got them he took off to find the hid out of the"SnowMan" He finally got to euphoria and was flying all over the place. He has had plastic surgery down in Beverly hills , by some guy who likes Karate and has a cute wife. Anyways. Rudolf ended up not being able to breath thru his nose so he talks a little odd. Not that there's anything wrong with that. He is currently working at Disney land works for the mouse. He has been to rehab with Paris and Robert Dowey.
Do drop by and say hi.

It all stemmed from an argument Rudolph, a Russian reindeer- (so called because he was always going fast) was having with Mother Xmas .. the weather had turned foul and Mother Xmas said it was 'sleet' Rudolph said it was 'rain'.
When they checked outside it was definitely rain .. and thus Father Xmas declared to Mother Xmas, "Rudolph the red knows rain dear"
