If you are 17 weeks pregnant you should be going for prenatal appointments, not taking home pregnancy tests.

I don't think that it is possible. It is possible that you might not have taken the test correctly. Read the instructions carefully and take another. If you were 17 weeks pregnant, the hormones would be strong enough to be detected by any pregnancy test.

Personally I am not sure about the blue line but pregnancy tests aren't always accurate. Have you considered checking the expiration date? But if I were in your shoes I would go to the clinic. Wow...a baby...that's a big step.

Not all tests are competely accurate. Word of caution is to take 3 different tests made by 3 different companies. That way there is no guessing if at least two show up positive.

The test might be bad, but you should go see a doctor or women's health clinic and have them test you, their tests are stronger. But if you're 17 weeks it'd most likely show positive by now, so I doubt you're that far along..

Usually if there is any type of blue in the window, no matter how clear, it is positive. Most people make the mistake that it must be clear, but that's not the case. Congratulations.

OMG, I agree with MoMmy...you should be seeing a doctor by now. 17 weeks would make you a little over 2 mos pregnant...go, go, go see a doctor! Are you scared you are and don't want to know for sure? Just wondering...best of luck if this is what you want.

It doesn't sound like you could be that far along and not testing positive. I tested positive at 6 weeks for both of my pregnancies. Have you been to the doctor yet? If they have confirmed it then don't worry.

I guess it might be possible. If you really think you are pregnant go to the doctor and get a blood test.

Yes it just means that you dont have much of the pregnacny hormoin. when my mary took her test she didnt have much of a line at all but regardless of what the test says you should always go to the ob and ask them to test for you. otherwise lots of places do it for free
