1. Yes. I think it's ridiculous that I have to cover up just because some people might be offended. Personally I think Europe has it right.

2. Yes.

3. Yes, I'd lose the top in a second...as long as it wasn't too cold out. Lol.

4. No idea. I don't think like a prude so I can't understand it.

5. No.

1) Yes. To me there's nothing at all objectionable about a woman's breast and she needs to have the freedom to show it in public if she chooses. Based on what has happened in Canada and in New York City, I'm not sure many women would do it - but I think they should be given that opportunity.

2) Yes, to me this is absolutely a double standard. Women seem to be held to a different standard just because their bodies are more beautiful.

3) I'm not female - but if I were and it were legal I probably would do it. As a male I go shirtless often.

4) I think there is the thought that it would lead to more rape and other sexually motivated crimes. Personally I doubt that would be the case. I don't think this has happened in Europe or other places where it has been made legal for women to go topless. And I believe most women would be smart enough to know when and where it is safe to go topless.

5) No, I don't view breasts as being purely sexual. Are they attractive to me as a man? Absolutely. But they are there for a reason and it isn't just to arouse men.

"1) Do you feel women should be free to go topless? why or why not?"
Yes, absolutely. Women should not be restricted in their choice of dress based simply on their sex.

"2) Do you feel that it is a double standard that men are free to go topless but women are not?"
Yes.

"3) Would you (if you are female) go topless if you knew there would be no legal consequences? If no, under what conditions (if any) would you be willing to go topless?"
I'm male.

"4) Why do you feel society fears the exposure of female breasts?"
You're making an assumption here, aren't you? Are you sure it's justified?

"5) Do you view female breats as purely a sexual object?"
No.

Thank you:)
You're welcome.

The majority of women have no intention of walking around topless; they merely don't like the fact that legally men can and they cannot... Its the classic view of feminism; that if a man can, a woman can too... even if it doesn't make sense. I'm surprised they haven't started installing urinals in womens bathrooms for those who want to try to pee standing up...

I think it is merely social standards; not double standards... I have never once heard a man complain that women can wear only G-strings and they cannot. The reason, men have more common sense and don't complain about nonsense like that... we know theres a difference. Men can wear less up top, women can wear less down low... and the reason is biology...

1) No. Amongst their other uses, such as feeding children, in America, at least, breasts are sexualized objects.

2) No. Man boobies are not sexualized objects. As a heterosexual female, I can say that man boobs don't turn me on, personally.

3) No. Again, breasts are sexualized objects. Throwing sex in the faces of some people is akin to kicking a sleeping dog, in that it will attract attention that you don't nessecarily want. I would go topless if breasts are no longer sexual objects.

4) I don't think it's fear. I think that some things, such as what is currently considered genitalia, are and should be considered private. Privacy and fear are two different things.

5) No. If I did view breasts as purely sexual objects, I'd move to outlaw breastfeeding (which is the preferred way of feeding your kid these days) as a form so sexual abuse to a child.

1) not in public spaces; public nudity is not an individual choice, it's a societal one and an affront to other people's privacy. having said that, I think it's fine to have topless and or nude beaches as long as they're designated as such.
2) no, men do not have secondary sex organs on their chests
3) would and have in Europe
4) they are oversexualized in our society, how else could anyone explain hooters?
