I see five main problems facing everyone on the planet, not just America. 1. over reproduction (too many babies). 2. over consumption of resources. 3. pollution/waste. 4. the great and growing economic gap between the world's richest and poorest people. 5. lack of compassion and empathy, the inability of people (especially political, religious and corporate leaders) to think of themselves as individuals within the human species as opposed to members of a group in conflict or competition with other groups.
