Yes it happens often.

Whom you have sex with is not fixed by your birth. This is a personal choice you make either consciously or unconsciously, either way, it's your choice.

My stepdaughter was gay for about 7 years before she gave up that lifestyle. Anne Heche is another example of someone who left that lifestyle.

People who say they it's a matter of birth just don't want to take responsibility for their actions.

Homosexuality is not a life choice, it is an unchangeable innate nature.

In 1998 the APA (American Psychiatric Association) has clearly adopted a position opposing any therapy designed to change a person's sexual orientation. The APA President stated in that time "There is no scientific evidence that reparative or conversion therapy is effective in changing a person's sexual orientation. There is, however, evidence that this type of therapy can be destructive.

You are who you are and just accept it and try to make the best out of it.

But being Gay does not prevent you of course to have feeling for parenthood,. You may desire to have a baby and bring him into adulthood. Nothing wrong with that.

In this case, when you are set-up in a strong relationship you may consider to adopt a baby. There are so many abandoned children and we have so much love to give.

Stay well.

No, sexual orientation (if you are attracted to men or women or both) cannot be changed; behavior can be changed, if a person doesn't want to act on his or her orientation. However, all reliable scientific evidence points to the fact that sexual orientation is at least partly biological and possibly genetic. The idea that your orientation is a lifestyle choice is not just laughable (ask a straight person at what point they "chose" to be straight) but dangerous since it implies that you need to change because something is wrong with you (there isn't).

Both the American Psychological Association and the American Psychiatric Association have officially opposed "reparative" or "conversion" therapies, mostly because they don't work and because of the further harm they do to participants. Please see the source links for even more detailed information.

The fact that you are attracted to men seems to suggest that you are either gay or bisexual. The fact that you still want to have a baby suggests that you simply want someone to care for, that you like children, and/or that you want a progeny, none of which have anything to do with your orientation.

Biology vs. orientation. Yes, you can have intercourse even though you're gay, but don't fake it just to have a baby. When you find the right guy, you can adopt or enlist the aid of a surrogate mom (risky, since they often change their minds and want to keep the baby).

good question..I really don't know. I guess it depends on the person. I think they are more likely to change to "bi" than just be completely gay one day and completely straight the next.

Nothing so far has worked to change gay people to straight - not the threat of hell, or torture, or executions, or prisons, or insane asylums, or discrimination, or anything else that has been used against them.

If you are gay, you are gay, if you are straight you are straight. Whatever you may be, you can still have a baby.
