tmg03 -- i wasn't "ranking" the teams by any means... i was just coming up with a list off the top of my head

also.. just cause WVU lost to pitt doesn't make them an awful team.. it was an upset, if you followed college football you would see that this stuff can happen

wvu formula for defeat is pat white gets hurt and they try to let their backup play the same game (instead of handing the ball to slaton a little bit more)
yes hawaii is one dimensional... but guess what, that one dimension is damn impressive (i'm willing to assume you haven't seen a single game they played)

johnsmith -- you keep on listing the other teams cupcake schedule, yet keep on leaving out that VT and LSU had to balls to play each other

servant FM -- i'm not an OSU hater, nor am i whining that my team didn't get in... cause they didn't deserve to get in... but then again neither does OSU, or LSU

i'm not whining, i'm just pointing out the fact that the team in the NC could lose to a handful of other teams

They deserve a shot. I think they are the best. Just take a look at some of the opponents of the contenders:

Missouri: played Mississippi, Western Michigan, and Illinois State

West Virginia: played Western Michigan, Marshall, Maryland, and East Carolina

LSU: played Mississippi State, Middle Tennessee, and Tulane

Georgia: played Oklahoma State, South Carolina, and Western Carolina

Virginia Tech: played East Carolina, Ohio, and William & Mary

See? Every team has to have some cream puff opponents. Anyway, didn't West Virginia just get beaten by Pittsburgh?

teams that "could" beat ohio state (revised)

lsu-yes
uga-yes
usc-yes
wvu-r u kidding me? does osu have a good defense? im not really sure.. wvu is one-dimensional, osu's defense would shut them down
OU-yes
VT-yes
Missouri- since when did wvu become a better team than missouri.. every poll ranked them 6 in the nation and sumhow u think u know better than them.. missouri is a better team than kansas, illinois, hawaii, west virginia, etc.. (and every sports analyist would agree with that)

Illinois- no way they'd beat them again
Hawaii- once again.. one-dimensional.. hows their running attack? national championship teams can easily stop teams like that

I would have liked to see Hawaii and Ohio State in the BCS championship game. Hawaii is undefeated, and only ranked as low as they are because of their weak schedule. I think this would have made for an exciting game, because Ohio hasn't beaten any significant teams either. Every year they claim they've solved the BCS controversy, but every year produces more and more evidence that college football MUST institute a playoff.

the only way there gonna beat a SEC group is that in the event that they start up playing some stable opposition in the process the prevalent season. i think of Ohio State has expertise (and speed) on there group. they only are no longer conflict examined like the SEC communities are by using the time they make it to the bowl. i think of they are crushed!

Ohio State can be beaten and will be in the Championship Game, they already lost to Illinois this year, and they always choke in big bowl games.

It's funny that you didn't include either of these teams:

Kentucky
Arkansas

Those are the terrible, horrible teams that beat LSU. Why don't you make a list of teams that could beat them?

Give me a break!!
None of the above!!!
Wait and see after Jan7th
The only reason we lost last season was because someone put sick agents in the OSU players food before game time. No media will let this leak!
