Yes I am.....I have been singing in choirs for most of the past 20 years....with a couple of short breaks along the way. I started singing in a serious way when I was about 12 years old....and I am now 30. I love it...and the choir I sing with at the moment does not require a very high level of commitment...which makes it more enjoyable as far as I am concerned. I used to sing in a boys' choir....where the parents and the boys were required to be far more committed than I am at present...especially at this time of year. Having said that, this time of year is always a fun time to be a singer!

I used to be when I was younger, the music teacher tried everything to get me in the choir too . I was too shy to continue with it as when it became time to sing on stage I would get nervous and freak out !

well you didn't provide that much information to really suggest anything. but i am assuming your singing range is lower. alto sounds like what you owuld sing. 2nd soprano does sing melody sometimes it just depends on the arrangement or whatever the choir director deems right. i was both alto and soprano when i was in middle and high school. personally i think alto is much more fun because you usually harmonize hope this helps!
