Ok I know it's for a good cause and all and that's a great thing but does anyone else get sick of hearing those damn bells ringing in front of every store at Christmas time.

I do give to them. And I hope I dont sound mean spirited by this. It's just uggh, that sound gets so annoying!

Yes! They drive me nuts. I went to the store yesterday and this women who was supposed to be ringing the bell had her daughter who looked about 3 ringing the bell and her other kids where running around in the entry part of the store while she sat on her a** and did nothing. That really pissed me off.

Only when you express that you have no money and they become persistent and ring the bell harder. I know it is for a great cause. They have to realize that maybe you are having just as hard of time as the people they are trying to help. I do give when able.

Nope because if a dude or dudette can stand outside ringing a bell for a good cause then at least I can do is give them something for their trouble. I am also more sensitive to panhandlers at this time of the year..

I get sick of it. I shopped in Lafayette on Black Friday. It is home to Purdue University. We went to one store that had at least 10 students out front all ringing bells!!!!

A few years ago my brother and I were walking out of Walmart and there was this guy there ringing the bell and I put in like the $0.50 I had in change and the guy looked at my brother and said "Happy Hanukkah" I almost died laughing!!!

Yeah I hate trying to pretend like I don't see them because I never carry cash! Like you can miss the guy dressed in a Santa suit ringing a loud bell! lol

Noise pollution of any kind annoys me and the bell ringers add to it. But I do drop money in the kettles. It is a good cause.

I agree they could just stand there and NOT ring the bell. We have one that stands outside of where I work and I hear that thing all freaking day long!

Well, to be honest I like the whole xmas atmosphere and feeling, coz here in Greece we got no snow, or wintry weather to remind us of xmas so its all we got... :)
However, when I worked in a cosmetic store as a salesman for some months including xmas period I got sick of christmas song and especially the one with Rudolf the red deer or whatever it is called... I so wanted to kick Rudolf's red a** if I saw him... :P :)

No, that's the only thing I enjoy. The rest is tinsel to me. Drop a quarter in. Keep some quarters in your ashtray for the times you hear those bells and want to shop. They will still say God Bless You!!
