Does the 3 date note is counted from the day I gave the tenant the note pay or quit. I put Dec 3rd,07. What day should I file an unlawful. I live in CA.Thanks

I don't know much about tenant/landlord issues, but generally speaking with any contract, if you don't have a copy then you have no proof of the document. Unless the other party makes the document public, then the document document doesn't exist

You might be better off sending a new note and keeping a copy for your records.

Be prepared to deliver it again ASAP if they don't pay or quit.

If you can't prove that they got it, you didn't send it at all.

Send a new notice. Send it certified with a signature receipt. Keep a copy.
