I think mum watches Stargate a bit too much (just as I do).
There are some who think that some pyramids were situated in a way that mirrors the position of some important stars. This is possible, as the Egyptians have always been acute astronomers.
While our "Western civilizatin" was barely into sand-filled hourglasses and candle-burning clocks, they had already determined that the length of day varied over the year (what we now call the equation of time) and they had designed clocks that could correct for that (so that, for example, one clock would always show noon when the Sun crossed the meridian or another clock would always arrive at some given time (say 6 a.m.) at the exact time of sunrise.
They had advanced mathematicians and they taught math in classes. So, having pyramids lined up with stars would show that they were good aqstronomer, architects and mathematicians, not that they were aliens.
However, modern researchers are no longer sure that the positions is really so close to that of stars (even taking precession and proper motion into account).

Then proof of that should be found in the DNA of the Copts. They still live in Egypt and are direct descendants of the ancient egyptians. There is no such evidence though. The Copts are very much humans.
Obviously the Egyptians too had some thoughts about the pyramids. Or they wouldn´t have put so much resources into building them. Life in ancient Egypt was extremely tied to the Nile and its annual flooding. The Egyptians had to know exactly when the floods occured so they put alot of effort into astrology to map the movements of the sun and the stars over the year. Basically they needed to measure time and measuring the suns path across the sky using the shadows it casts from the monuments the Egyptians built simply told the Egyptians what day it was. They didn´t have calendars you know...

U were definitely right. Pyramids are very accurately lined up with stars. Even when the stars moved the line was the same at every angles. When a star would blast into a black whole, another star would replace it but not in the same place. However, the replacing star would also be perfectly lined up with the pyramid. That is totally impossible in these days and only god knows how they did it in the ancient age. No one even has the doubt that Egyptians were humans but it surprises even the most expert scientists, how the egyptians made those marvels. Well, this is a mystery, how they did these and this is a mystery too, if they were aliens or not.

Some folks seem awful quick to write off the pyramids as nothin but big stacks of rock. But if you ever do a bit of research into how the pyramids, and particularly the great pyramid at Giza was constructed, it's really astounding, bewildering stuff.
The great pyramid covers 13 acres, and the whole 13 acre site is level to within 1/2 an inch. We wouldn't achieve that today with modern surveying equipment.
It's built with around 2.5 million blocks, each weighing between 2 and 70 tonnes, and these huge blocks are cut and placed so accurately, you can't even squeeze a credit card into the gaps between them. Not to mention that the copper tools the Egyptians are thought to have been using at the time are too soft to cut the rock.
The great pyramid is one of the heaviest structures in the world, so heavy that had it been built almost anywhere else but that exact site, it would have sank into the ground. How did they know to build it there?
The pyramid's sides face almost exactly (within 0.08 of one degree) North, South, East and West. How did they align the faces so perfectly? The compass wasn't invented till 5,500 years later.
The pyramid is at the exact centre of the world's landmass. Again, how could they have known? They didn't have satellite images.
Each side of the base is exactly 365.24 cubits long, which is the exact length of the solar year in days (taking the 1/4 day for the leap year). The number 365.24 is repeated several times in some of the pyramid's other measurements.
And these coincidences (?) go on and on. Aliens? I wouldn't jump to that conclusion. But more advanced than us? Yes, I think so.

That is not true. People only think that because they cannot imagine building a giant stone pyramid by hand, and they couldn't line up a garden shed with the stars, and since they themselves could not do it, then nobody else could either, because they are of course among the smartest people they know and how could those "stupid" Egyptians have figured out all this stuff that they have not? Well such people are over estimating themselves and under estimating almost everyone else.

It's not that hard to line a structure up with certain stars or the position of the sun at one of the solstices, etc. You just have to be observant. Different civilizations have done this throughout the ages. And the fact that your structures line up with stars doesn't mean that that's where you came from, it just means the heavens were important to you -- again, this applies to many civilizations. There's no big mystery about the Pyramids, it just took a lot of hard work, dedication and great planning.

The fact that they looked up at the sky does not make them aliens. The pyramids were created with the blood and sweat of slaves.

The pyramids probably are lined up with the stars, just like Stonehenge is lined up with the sun. I don't think they were aliens but they were very good at astrology
