Are you kidding me? When you run people like Hillary Clinton, what do you expect the out come to be? And to truth seeker, what kind of bubble are you living in. The Libs/Dems have always had a win at any cost mentality! Hillary would stop short of nothing to win that presidency and gain the power she is so very hungry for!! Just like her hubby Bill. Bill and Hillary had a line of dead bodies stretching from Ark to DC! They definitely had a win at any cost mentality! Let's just hope that they're tactics do not succeed. The last thing this country needs is Hillary in the white house!

No, at this point, the Democrats are confident they can win. There is no strawman being set up.
Generally speaking, though, I think the electoral college is outdated, and that we should have direct election by popular vote. America is no longer a rural nation with separate and definable rural interests and values that deserve more voting weight than any others. The principle of one man, one vote should rule.

Hope you're right about the defeat part. That would be a great benefit to the nation.

Not at all. It is just a reality check to people like you to show that the GOP is a "win at all cost" party. Regardless of what the outcome is. Stop living in the past.
A straw man argument is an informal fallacy based on misrepresentation of an opponent's position. How is this a "strawman" when it is true? The GOP IS doing this in California.
