They don't trust people that have faith because people of faith are not as easily led as the Great Unwashed masses that they prey upon for their political power.

It's an adverse reaction from those who feel they have attained the higher moral ground simply by having faith. Some impose their faith on others as if it were some platform that had to be met or exceeded in order for the individual having faith to take the other one seriously.

I've always wondered why some religious people seem insecure in their faith, like the fact that some people don't accept it threatens it. If you have faith, it's yours and yours alone and if you don't bother me with it, we won't have issues.

There are many reasons; (1) Holy Joes have no sense of humour (2) Holy Joes will attack first and start acting morally superior if you don't believe what they do, so it's better to launch a pre-emptive strike (3) If your faith is strong, nothing anyone says on this website will change your mind.

The first answer in line says it all. They have no faith in anything.
Edit. and to all of those that say we feel we have a higher moral ground due to faith, or push religion on you, you cannot really believe the majority of Christians believe or do that can you? Is it what you have heard or what you have witnessed? I have witnessed a little of this but the majority of us are not like that.

Because there are some people of faith who wish to impose their morals and beliefs on everyone else. I have no problem with religion whether it be Christianity or otherwise, but when you start telling me how to live or raise my family, or want the Government to tell me..that's where I draw the line.

As long as people of faith feel free to constantly bash those who don't share their views.

It's a two-way street.

I don't understand that either. Maybe they are closed-minded. Maybe they feel threatened. Maybe they just don't understand it. Maybe they don't respect the right of everyone to have their own opinions.

My view on religion is simple - Live and let live. I have the right to believe and worship (or not believe or worship) as I chose, and so does everyone else. Other people's decisions don't offend me either way.

I don't, unless that person uses their faith as a crutch for not being able to think critically.

Have you noticed that you can say any "prophets" name...you can even say God and people just smile and don't say anything...BUT...say the name of Jesus...and you can almost always see agitation if not outright anger from a non believer...ever wonder why that happens???...because Jesus IS our only hope...He IS the truth, and satan hates him...NO OTHER NAME DOES THAT!!

Yeah, I'm amazed at the quantity of both Jewish and Muslim faith bashing on this site.
