I was laid off full-time employment about 2 months ago, and I have been trying to get a job ever since, and since i'm 17, nobody wants to hire me. So now my husband and I are running out of money from his paycheck, and I was wondering if I am still eligible to apply for unemployment? I still have the paperwork saying it was no fault of mine that I was laid off?

Any help greatly appreciated.

There are eligibility requirements about hours worked and length of employment, however you certainly can apply and should have done so the moment you became unemployed.

You need to contact your local unemployment office. You may have to call the central office in your state to get the number for the local office. Also it depends on how long you worked for the company. Good Luck!

Yes you are eligible. Your benefits don't start until you open the claim so email or call unemployment and open you claim. I believe there is a two week waiting period before you receive benefits so you should contact them ASAP.
Good Luck

If you have enough time as an employed worker, yes, you can file for unemployment. Call your local office and ask what the qualifications are.
