Here is the add that the Mouth Breathers at MoveOn.org used to slime our men and women in Uniform.

I doubt even the 6% of the Military that is LIBERAL agreed with them on that.

Thanks for staying the course Mr. President. History will record, once again, how you and the Military were right and the useful idiots on the left were wrong.

"Murtha's comments on 'surge' are a problem for House Democrats

Rep. John Murtha (D-Pa.), one of the leading anti-war voices in the House Democratic Caucus, is back from a trip to Iraq and he now says the "surge is working."

Yes and Murtha, Reid, and Pelosi should have to kiss his feet, or someplace.

I'm not sure what we mean when we say the surge is working. I think it was obvious that more troops would lower violence in Iraq.and for that reason alone, I favored trying the surge.

The real purpose of the surge was to lower the level of violence to allow the Iraqi government to get it's act together. I don't see that happening and if they don't make some significant progress soon, we will have wasted a perfectly good surge.

The surge is not working. Iraq is a destroyed country that is not healing and getting over the disaster of this America invasion. The only thing that is going right in Iraq is the orginal idea of the Invasion which is to put a major presence in Iraq of the United States military so that the Iraqi oil can service America and its needs. America's future now includes permanent bases in Iraq which we will use to further our "vital interests."

How brainless. It is clear the surge is over and is not and has never worked. What is working is a change in strategy that involves paying local sheiks for their cooperation, which is potentially dangerous but should have been done from the beginning. Neither Bush nor Petraeus is responsible for this. Some of the local commanders in the field were doing this before "the surge" and its success has led to its spread.

This is merely Iraq Success Story Part III. We've had "Mission Accomplished" and "Iraqis Vote for Democracy." Now we have "The Surge Worked."

The reality is that we've destroyed a nation, leveled their cities, severely damaged all of their infrastructure, killed more than one million of their citizens and displace several million others. And alll of that in the pursuit of stealing their oil and establishing global hegemony. In the same way that you would be outraged if Russia had done this to the U.S., Iraqis are not going to be pacified until the U.S. military is gone, the oil wealth back in their own hands and reparations on the way. The U.S. cannot win this war. Nobody ever started loving the Nazis after they had killed and destroyed their way to occupation.

The Surge can't be measured if it is working or not...

If it is I'm glad we've finally done ONE thing right out of the millions of things that have been mishandled in this war

If it isn't working...no surprise, George and Cheney and their cabinet f*****d up again

The surge is working? Cool. So that "breathing space" the U.S. military gave to the Iraqi government has paid off and all the Iraqi politicians are getting along now. Great. I missed that story. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. When do the troops come home?

I'm sure he is wiping sweat from his brow
after telling the American public exactly what Bush wanted him to say

But

The surge is only working because we are there in munbers. the surge was supposed to clear the area so warring factions could pull together a government
ON THAT MATTER, THE SURGE HAS FAILED

The surge was suppose to provide a means at which the Iraq government could get their act together.I think still the Government of Iraq has failed on that,so no its to early for Petraeus to claim that . yes the number of American G.I personnel death is down.I thank Bush for that as they have done a wonderful job at war,god bless them.let us pray that the death numbers stay low and lower AS WE AN,T EVER GETTING OUT OF THERE NOW...NO WAY.The Dem,s need to print more money for the war and for Americas tax refunds....dismissed & PNAC Penelope Rules///chow my dear" freepress"

Its pretty obvious that when you have a military problem that more military force will work better than less. I think the question of whether or not the surge WORKED has to be more than just a temporary military issue.

SURE, and our troops will be home by Christmas?
I mean that would be the best way to prove something is working besides pushing the violence all around the country like a wet bar of soap!
