It's often hereditary. Find out what age your mom was when she got hers. You can expect yours around that same age. Don't rush it. You're going to have your period for the rest of your life. Don't judge by what your friends are doing - everyone is different. The discharge is a sign that puberty is well on it's way and you've developed. Some girls get their period first and develope breasts later and I'm answering their questions about why they're so flat chested. And then there's girls like you who have developed but still haven't gotten their periods. Just know that by the time you're like 17, everything will pretty much have evened out. It will come and in 10 years you'll long for the time that you didn't have periods, lol.

The period is different for everyone, but yes you should be getting close (around 11-14 ) The discharge is there any color to it? If it's dark red, it could be your period. Is it whitish? It could also be an yeast infection, do you itch down south? You should buy some panty liners(deoderant ones).
