Gross Handkerchiefs talk about spreading germs. No never received them and if I did wouldn't use them. You should throw out your kleenex when you use it and wash your hands you shouldn't hang on to it. I say no to a handkerchief. Now you are also suppose to cough or sneeze into the fold of your arm.
I work in a hospital and I am sure this goes against fighting infectious diseases.

My mom gave me some very pretty handkerchiefs a few years ago. She is 87 years old now. I don't ever use them but I do take them out and look at them and hold them. They seem to bring me a little closer to her. I think they make fine gifts, too.

Hankerchiefs with an Initial sewn on the corner are a perfect gift for Grandad. I am fortunate in never receiving hankies.

Haven't gotten a box of hankerchiefs since I was a kid. It sort of rates just below a tie as a present. I think I would pass on them and look for something else these days.

a great concept, may be the present of a few time. If Grandpa likes to fish, purchase him a address container, and positioned a card in there this is type of a chit from you. it is going to say something like, this certificates entitles you to a minimum of one picnic lunch and fishing with yours somewhat on the region of your decision. Or if Grandpa likes to cook (mine did) a advantageous basket of pastas and connoisseur sauces and a certificates asserting that it entitles him to dinner for 3 (incorporate grandma) selfmade by way of you. Have some exciting with it, and spend time with Grandpa, he will love that.

I think I was about six the last time I got hankies - usually who ever bought them had my initial on them - so I couldn't even give them away...I used them as nappies on my dolls.
Don't think anyone gives them now except to elderly people who don't know that tissues are more hygienic...any they wonder why MRSA is so rife on geriatric wards.
