With Christmas coming, I am faced with a problem. I have no idea what to get my sister-in-law for Christmas. She is extremely hard to buy for. We don't get along very well. As matter of fact, she barely speaks to me unless it's something mean. But I guess I have to get something. She is a new mother if that helps with suggestions. Thanks.

The book "chicken soup for the new mom", a gift card for a local spa, an IOU for an evening of childcare with a gift card to a restaurant.
Something nice, so she knows you care about her. It may be just the nudge she needs to change the way she feels about you.

Perhaps this is the time to try and improve family relationships. I know you two didn't choose each other so for the sake of your family lets try for a better relationship so here goes. Loose the I guess I have to get her something. Be the better bigger person and give it a try.
Suggest a pamper her gift, perhaps lunch out and a coupon to watch the baby! Bonus: You get to spend time with your neice or nephew.
A spa gift is a great idea.
A gift certificate for a foot massage? I have heard they are wonderful!
Concentrate on pampering her, its a tough time for any new mom - and you will be a hero when its time to open gifts.
Merrry Christmas.

Violet has the right idea! Give her a certificate to a spa treatment. Or make up a coupon book of little coupons she can redeem with you for things like baby sitting, foot massage, chat fest...etc. It might break the ice with her if you show her you think about her comfort.
Good luck. My own older sister is the same way so I know what you are going through!

So why are you buying her something if you two don't get along? Seems like a nice gesture on your part but I think you should ask your husband to do the shopping for her since she is his sister. Have you asked him what she likes? Happy Holidays!

Since it's your sister-in-law, talk to your brother about what she likes. I know you said you two don't get along to well, but being the thoughtful, bigger, better person, you should still get her something. Try to be thoughtful and maybe it will help put your differences aside.

It would not recent a project for all theists, purely people who carry that there is a single, thoroughly benevolent god who's all-useful and created each and every thing. The presence of evil interior the worldwide is thoroughly incompatible with that concept, to that end the concern. with the intention to account for evil, theists ought to confess their god is the two: a million. not all sturdy, considering that he created evil intentionally. 2. not all understanding, considering that he accidentally created evil. 3. did not create each and every thing, considering that evil exists and he might in no way have created considered one of those element. 4. not all useful, considering that he's unable to do away with evil.
