Meaning do you always follow their advice or do you take the medication that is prescribed to you all the way? And do you fee like it's over rated in some sense?

think everything over when you have symptoms. Most things can be fixed with simple changes to every day life, chronic headaches are often times dehydration and can be fixed with just drinking more water. It can also be mentally cause, stress can be a HUGE factor in what the body does. A lot of people suffer from stress related issues. Take a look at your life and what your doing to stay healthy, working out but not too strenuous, what your eating, (it doesn't hurt to eat fast food just eat it in moderation like once or twice a month), etc.

It's up to you.
Do follow your doctor's advice and take all meds. But observe how these affect you. If you notice problems, consult your doctor. If your doctor isn't listening to you, get a second opinion.

Today's patient is more involved in their own health care than ever before. Those suffering from chronic diseases have access thru the web to more information than ever before.

You owe it to yourself to take an active part in your health care.

The Doctor helps by giving meds, and surgery's, but it's really up to the individual to do what ever is needed to get better, and stay well, and fit. I personally think many doctors really don't (and shouldn't ) be doctors. If I took all the meds my doctors precribed, I would be broke.
I had my tubes tied, and my old doctor still wanted me to be on birth control. What is up with that? Better question, do doctors get paid to precribe the drugs?

It is in my own hands. I dr, with all natural, homeopathic as much as possible, it doesn't have the side effects and in most cases works much better than the conventional pill pushing meds that are out there causing more damage than good.
