This is a blatant and unsupported stereotype. My own father is ten times as emotional as I am, and he has run for public office before. His stance on issues and candidates is more often based in prejudice against Republicans than in any legitimate good policy statements by the Democrats. Politics as a whole is way too emotional, and it could do with a healthy dose of rationality. Since its serving officials are mostly male, where would you say this rampant emotionalism comes from? Surely not the female minority...

Generalizations are the mark of biased thinking. Each woman is her own person... some are emotional, some aren't - no different than men.

But think of this... have you ever read the writing of our founding fathers? Thomas Jefferson, John Adams... VERY emotional people. Have you ever read about the debates that took place over the issue of Independence? EXTREMELY emotional.

Simply being emotional should not make someone ineligible to vote. Every citizen in good standing who is 18 years old should have the right to vote. Period.

Heck some people are too emotional to case a logical ballot, some people are just too stupid.

However like it or not, voting is a right every law biding citizen possesses and for better or worse they are entitled to case their ballots.

As a man, I disagree. As long as emotion is removed from the election process women should vote.

Hogwash.

Though I'll call into question the mental capacity of American voters after the results of the last presidential election.

I think that it has about as much validity as the idea that since men can only think about one thing at a time, usually sex, they probably shouldn't vote either.

Being emotional isn't always a bad thing at all. I think that women are equals and of course have something to say as far as voting goes. My sweetheart is very intelligent and makes very good decisions.
