They are a traditional food in Mexico around Christmas time. A lot of people buy them (sold by the dozen) now instead of making their own. You have to find someone who makes homemade one's and buy them. those are better.

OMG!!!!! I miss those soooooooooo much
Maybe you can pick some up for me Octavio. I'm driving across the US in about 12 days, I'm sure I'll be going through
the starte you live in. I can just drop on by and pick them up.......
They don't have anyone who makes homemade Tamales where I live, I wish they did

got 12 dozen last night and i'm gonna say it before anyone else. Hispanics love tamales during the holidays because it gives us something to unwrap christmas day. So all you haters...

My family makes hundreds every christmas. We are doing ours in a week. They are also tradition in El Salvador as well. Along with Pupusas!

i love Tamales, I grew up on Mexican food. Yes the home made one are so much better. i don't need to order mine I make mine.
