He was raised there and has lived there the majority of his adult life, so the only intelligent thing to say is that he's from there.
And Kinnebunkport, Maine is the Bush family (on the Walker side) retreat. He wasn't born there, nor did he ever reside there. He was born in Connecticut, grew up in Texas, attended prep school in Massachussets and college in Connecticut, but returned to Texas afterwards.
You could have, if you had even bothered with facts, to claim he was from Connecticut. At least that, however wrong, is based on reality rather than some leftist derangement.

He's kinda-from-texas. He was raised on the East Coast, though- which is why he has those yankeeish ideals.
Anyways. Why does he pretend to be from Texas? Because Texans are the most.. appealing of americans. Stereotypically Southern, yet with their own flair, reasonable arrogance. It's a very good.. political character. Strong, Loyal, Capable. Yes, a little morally charged, but someone who gets things done.
Unfortunately the younger Bush isn't quite Texan.. LOL. Kennebunkport. Definitely not an extension of glorious Texas. Bush, the younger spent more time in his summer home during you than in his delightfully texan home!

I don't believe that he pretends to be born in Texas, only a resident there. I'm a true Georgian but we have a lot of people residing here in Georgia that are Georgians although they were not born here.

How else could he get such a large voter base of Christian conservatives? PS: he was born in 1946 in Connecticut and moved to Texas in 1977, which is less than half his life, but close.

he was born in new haven, connecticut but grew up most of his young and adult life in Texas. I'm not sure about where you are from but I consider to be FROM upstate NY cause this is where I grew up but was born in Oldsmar Florida. Maybe this is how he looks at it.
