Hmm... I really dont know exactly what to cook or how comfortable you two are with each other... but cook something easy for you and something easy to eat... Spaghetti would probably not be a good idea... its an awkward food lol...

Whoever said that special had to be fancy or complicated? A simple fetuccini, crab, chicken or alfredo, depending on her personal preference and then a simple tiramisu dessert, done with the proper recipe with mascarpone cheese, espresso, sweet marsala wine et al..

I dated a guy a few months ago that always cooked for me! Grilled chicken and pasta salad or some kind of pasta. That was good, light and tasty!

I don't miss him, just his cooking.

I was just going to suggest you make her an Italian dish (like Shrimp Alfredo, my favorite) or a Cajun dish (always very tasty).



(But I like the idea which includes truffles above)

Linguini Pescatori-Bruschetta, with a nice bottle of white. Don't forget desert. Poached pears with marscapone and white truffle chocolates.

Quesadilla and it is simple too. It is a mexican pizza. You can do it with cheese, rice, beef, pico de gallo ( ask in the store) and the side sour cream and some guacamole.

Fresh garden salad, filet mignon, baked whole sweet potato, asparagus with cheese sauce, croissants with honey butter, and blueberry cheesecake.

Italian is great and romantic, you can do a pasta or chicken marsala with a salad and wine, don't forget the candles!
