There are people behind every cloak, every robe, every mask and every uniform that there could be in any office for a people. There are always people who would try to do their best according to the best that they could be, and no one is perfect.
Oft times people are wrong but they get away with it just because they powerful, where there might also be people right but unable to claim any of their rights.
There is never a single version of any situation in the world: it is possible that there are two people, both right, but both at odd with each other. The difference then is that of the power one of them may posses more than the other. Then if people with lesser amount of power and ability fail to see their truth independently, and therefore claim their right clearly then they might try to claim that they are right therefore the ones on the other side are wrong. And then people on the other side who are not only right but also powerful would act to undermined what is right, and not wrong, in the first people by measures of their power.
When you come to face with authority respect it and learn to see what good you have, how you are right and how what is good about you is of some benefit to you without causing friction with power; learn to communicate not with an assumption that your are right other are wrong but with the fact in view that both are right but not both are equally powerful.

I am a father. I know i should be more flexible, but i think i cover up my insecurity and uncertainty by doing this sort of thing. I hope i'm not so bad as most parents, but it's hard to tell. Some people aren't open to ideas after a certain age either. One of the great things about having children of my own is that they have a fresh way of looking at things that it's important to listen to because it's very challenging.

I don't think that they are all unfair. I do sometimes think that if an individual is in a position of authority such as teacher, principle, parent etc. Then they need to have wisdom and compassion otherwise they make a lot of unnecessary mistakes and everyone does make mistakes but it is important to be able see an individual and not just the issues.

People in authority generally are charged with some responsibility - to get something done or to manage some certain activity. If they are properly in authority over you, such as a teacher or a parent, then it is your role to do what they say and help them achieve the goal they have. When you in turn are put in charge of something, say like planning a Christmas play one year, and you have say, three assistants assigned to you, you will want them to do what you direct them to do. If you tell them to do one thing and they come back with sixteen suggestions to do it differently, you too may find yourself impatient with them - you may want to say to them, look, some of these are good ideas, but we're like a football team here, we have to all run the same play. Now I"ve called the play, which is my role, now please run your pattern.
That said, some bosses are prix too and some are decent. But they must "be right" in that we must do as our bosses ask.

Being in authority allows people to hide behind rules that do not work, laws that may not even make sense, and morality issues that were outdated over a few centuries ago?
Heard of the term "part of the establishment"?
Alas, even those who fought that have now grown old and now part of being barnacle holding up the "ROCK" of establishment.
What can i say, yup yup, you are right. One day grasshopper, this rock be yours as well, barnacles and all.
