Ugh, so annoying. Even IMDB, a respectable site, won't let me sign in without giving me cookies. Why is this? What are they getting out of it that they NEED these cookies?

Yeah, I do clean them out, but I hate having to improve them every time I go someplace. I guess I could just do "accept all cookies" and then clean them out at the end. I'm scared a hacker will read my cookies and exploit me for all of my personal info.

Cookies are actually helpful and for yourself but if you dont want them you can go to tools(at the top of the internet explorer)=>Internet options=>Privacy=>on the top right hand side there is a green bar if you put it to the top you can block all cookies.

Cookies can be cool. They can not only remember your session info to keep you logged in, they can keep track of what links you've already followed. They are just basic pieces of internet communication today. Just like any communication, they convey information. Just make sure you only consort with sites and people you deem "respectable."

Cookies store your login info during a session ;)

You need cookies to stay logged in ^_^

They can also store other information, but I won't go into detail.

Do a search for Ccleaner--then download it, its free. It cleans out all your cookies and other temporary data. It only takes a few seconds to use it. I clean mine out every day.
