1 hour has 60 minutes ..
so 30 minutes out of 60 is the required fraction .. its written as 30/60 = 1/2 hours
similarly ..
1min = 1/60 hours
45 min = 45/60 hours and so on
hope this helps :)

Divide by 60 and reduce.

30 min
= 30/60 hours
= 1/2 hour

1 min
= 1/60 hour

45 min
= 45/60 hours
= 3/4 hour

50 min
= 50/60 hours
= 5/6 hour

etc.
I could do the rest, but I think you get the idea.

There are 60 min/ hr, therefore 60 is your denominator

So for 15 minutes

15/60 = 1/4 of an hour
