It's raining lunch

Currents form deep,
Krill layers, temperature gradients,
Warm, then cold on warmer,
Saline piston, Gulf Stream driver,
What’s in the water is the ocean.
Codfish dominion, Baleen Whale,
And the Shark, master of all of it,
Lobster, Halibut, King Crab
Harvest their meals from the carnage above.

Very nice, indeed. You definitely have talent. Good imagery that paints a vivid picture in the reader's mind. And a "sub-current" of inference that makes readers consider the "balance of nature" in the world around them, most of which they never perceive nor think about.

Seafood

I absolutely LOVE it, because it's ALL true! Love the line...what's in the water is the ocean....all water on Earth is from the oceans!

I love seafood and this poem does not effect that love whatsoever.

Yes, the kills that predators of the oceans make...the carcasses float down and are eaten by others of the deep that need the food. The chain of survival! That food is processed, filtered and in no way is harmful if you eat seafood!

Great Question...and way good poem!!!!
