change what is real?

Our beliefs create what seems real to us.

There is no objective reality.

This is more easily understandable if one considers the actual scale of the components of an atom. If one takes into account the fact that the neutrons, protons and electrons of an atom actually have huge spaces between them it becomes clear that the atoms that make up seemingly solid objects are made up of 99+ percent empty space.

This alone does not seem too important till you add the idea that the atoms that make up seemingly solid objects are more of a loose conglomeration that share a similar attraction but never really touch each other.

At first glance this does not really seem relevant, but closer analysis reveals that this adds a tremendous amount of empty space to solid objects that are already made up of atoms that are 99 percent space. When so-called solid objects are seen in this light it becomes apparent that they can in no way be the seemingly solid objects they appear to be.

We ourselves are not exceptions to this phenomenon.

These seemingly solid objects are more like ghostly images that we interpret as solid objects based on our perceptual conclusions.

From this we must conclude that Perception is some sort of a trick that helps us to take these ghostly images and turn them into a world we can associate and interact with. This clever device seems to be a creation of our intellect that enables us to interact with each other in what appears to be a three dimensional reality.

I hope that helps to answered your question.

Beliefs are always changing and are based upon our learning; both from experience and by the teachings of others. Because of this no two persons have the exact same beliefs.

Beliefs are subjective in nature. Facts are objective. What you believe changes your perception of objects, but they do not change the object itself. You can believe the Bible means this or that, but just because you believe it, does not make it fact.

Beliefs are of the mind and that is where the changes take place. What "IS" is the real and it is always what"IS".

Certainly in the sense that what you believe changes you. Think of moral behavior, values, view (and therefore hope/despair) about the afterlife.
Many things that change in the world, or don't change, are due to people. If the person changes, the world changes.

Certainly, if we are real.

That is not to say that what we believe becomes real. But what we believe does change us.

And if we are real and changed, what else might we not change because of our beliefs?

Your beliefs are what make your reality. So, if your beliefs change so does your reality. The "truth" however, is all together different.

Yes, Our beliefs can very definitely change what is real unless, of course, you begin to believe that your beliefs can not change what is real.

in which case you have what is called "a belief standoff". :-)

Facts, like the famous quote, are truely tricky things.

They can't change reality exept by your actions, and sometimes even nothing there.

However, then can change the way you interpret reality, which might be different from how someone else would.

Our perception certainly can. And expectations. If you expect people to be a certain way they often are. Believing it's a good day can make it one. But there's a limit to this. Believing a cow is a car will not make it one.
