When Imus declares that 5-D Cheney is still a war criminal, and Hillary still Satan, I find a little much-deserved sanity. Am I the only one, or are others glad Imus is 'back on?'

I really don't care. I used to listen to Imus to get a few laughs. i found him to be an equal opportunity basher. He got way too arrogant for me. I am glad he got a job back because I think firing him was pretty stupid for the reason he was fired. Rush can insult everybody, we can call the president anything from stupid to evil but don't dare make a joke about a minority?

Garafalo, this is not a victory for free speech. You have to take responsibility for what you say. Imus being back on the air is a bastardization of free speech. Those girls had the right NOT to be called "nappy-headed hoes" on a nationally syndicated radio program. I think if you cross the line that far, your mic ought to be unplugged forever, rather than just getting yourself grounded for a couple of months. Imus being back on the air just goes to prove that there is no personal accountability left in our country.

Yes, but only as a victory for free speech.

Dan W, no they had the right not to listen to Imus in the first place.

It makes little or no difference to me. I never even knew who the man was till the media circus of his firing. I will say this, though. He was hired as a shock jock, so why was he fired for merely performing his job admirably?

Never really cared for him in the first place, so basically I forgot he received the boot two days after MSNBC stopped reporting on it.

I am kind of mad. Not because he was put back on air, more power to him, but the show that was canceled to put him back on, always had higher ratings than his show did.
