Wow - and I thought we did a lot of laundry! I think we probably do about the same amount - 10-15 loads a week. More in the summer, I think.

We do about 4 loads (sometimes you have extra because you have washed the mattress protector for instance) in a 7kg machine. I seem to get one full load of light colours, two of white bottom sheets, white towels, kitchen cloths etc. on 60°C wash and one full load of darks. We change the sheets weekly and duvet cover etc. and use our white towels until they either smell or look dirty but never longer than 1 week. I don't think they are being really excessive but it could be that they are not filling the washer up for a full load each time. I really don't think this is something you should fall out about as it is quite personal. Different if you wanted to complain about them leaving lights on or something.

Living in an urban area, I use the fluff & fold service at the laundromat! Once my laundry bag is full, I haul it down there. The big one weighs about 25 lbs. when full, the little one, about 15. Only the laundromat employees can say for sure how many loads that might be!
