I have a wireless high speed internet conncetion and a laptop that wil connect to it. I want to use the high speed sonnection on my Desktop PC. can use laptop as, like, a router or something to do that?

Well, if your laptop also has ethernet you simply connect the Desktop to it with an ethernet cable and set up your laptop for Internet connection sharing.

That will allow your laptop to route for you.

Or you can add wireless to your desktop with a cheap USB adapter.
If you are using 3G wireless (T-Mobile, AT&T etc) there are routers built for those cards.

If you had a crossover cable and connected the desktop to the laptop and than setup up the windows home network wizard to allow it to share connections. then you're good. so yes. it is possible to get you desktop on the internet through your laptop.

I agree with what everyone is saying here, and the internet connection sharing wizard is the easy way to go. BUT.....keep in mind that your Laptop is going to slow down considerably when you enable this....good luck!!
