I have a really bad back for carrying baby and I heard this could help relieving the pain.

Yes, it will not only help alleviate your pain, but help draw toxins out of your body which in turn may make your breast milk healthier for your baby.
I was taught epsom salt bath therapy in massage school and the biggest mistake is to not use enough. Add at least the entire box (milk carton size) or slightly more to your warm water and dissolve by stirring. Any less is not really effective.
I've found the cheapest epsom salts at Food Lion, the next best deal was K-Mart.

I haven't heard of any ill-effects brought about by using epsom salts on lactating women. Epsom salts help remove the toxins in our body which I guess would be beneficial for breastfeeding women. It will also be good for the back aches you're experiencing for carrying your baby.

Yes, perfectly safe. It's even safe while pregnant. It also helps to soothe hemmorhoids. Congrats on the new baby, and for breastfeeding!
