I'm sure few may mean well, but whenever I receive a condescending reply, I immediately stop reading the comment and move on to the next.

What say you?

Prirate AM: Perhaps the writer needs to proofread their comment before pressing the submit button. That's exactly the point. One can not see your facial expression or know whether or not you have a smile on your face. Therefore, one should think twice before submitting.

I agree, but will disagree so as not to be seen as condescending.

I think that you need to think about it a bit. Just because something sounds condescending does not mean that that was how the writer meant it, nor does it mean that the answer's content is any less valuable.

I know!, im sure it's just to get the points but, when i post a question i expect a genuine answer! Its just a total waste of time and effort.

no the person is actually making an effort to answer ur question.therefore u need to at least giv some credits.
but obviously,u can just ignore those who answer something irrelevant to the question.
