Heres the basics.

Went to turn up the t-stat..Nothing kicked on.

Went to the furnace and hit the reset button. The pump ran for about 15 seconds and shut off. (nothing fired or anything).

The reset button stayed down, and is acting normal. If I pull the lever the button pops up. Pushing it again does nothing. Nothing turns on / makes any noises. But the red light turns off.

It looks like the t-stat isnt getting any voltage. Jumping the t-stat wires at the t-stat or at the burner does nothing.

Plugged a lamp into the outlet used by the furnace to make sure its getting adequate juice..Its fine.

Im wondering if the honeywell primary control isnt working right. ITs not sending power to anything. I pulled it off. All the wire connections inside look fine.

Heres a place with a pic and more info:

And yes, before someone asks - it has oil, everything on the oil side is fine.

Im going to assume the 24V regulator is "built in" to the Honeywell R8184G Primary Control. There is no external regulator..

I guess I just have to assume the Primary Control is bad. Ive taken it apart and it looks fine though..

Sounds like you have a bad 24 volt transformer . You need to find it if you have central Air it would be in there. The controls in your picture run on 24 volts. So its not a milivolt system. the transformer if not in a blower section could be mounted outside the heater on a joist or something.. Have fun !!!

Aaargh! ...Fooled again! You know that, human beings what they are, there are some computer owners who've done this, fried their machines and popped the circuit breaker of the line their computer was plugged into ...and still haven't figured out what they did wrong:-)
