the enjine is a kawalski 5.5 about 6 years old and dont use oil

check the fuel fliter, could be clogged and choking itself out after running for a while.

It does sound like water in the gas. Drain and clean as stated above. Add fresh gas and some dry gas as well. This should solve your problem.

hmm use to have the same symptoms with my old betsy mower, poss, water in gas or bad or old fuel, try removing fuel in tank, clean it out with paper towels and etc, then start with fresh fuel, also check gas can make sure it is dumped out and restarted with fresh fuel

Could be the ignition module. As it gets heated up it shorts out and quits. When it dies, check for spark.
