They say chimps are smarter than college students?

Maybe at memory but hey those chimps don't have 1000 other things on their minds do they? These scientist aren't as smart as they think are they?

Can the chimps do algebra?
Dogs are smarter than people too. That's why I have 2. They know if a car is going to stop in front of my house before it comes into view. They know if somebody is nearby in the dark. I'm sure they can't comprehend why humans don't know this stuff. On the other hand, I've never met a dog that could avoid tangling its leash, without help from a human. They have no comprehension of string.

They didn't say "chimps are smarter than college students", all they said was that in a study at Kyoto University young Chimps had better short-term memory than their cross table adult counterparts. They also said when they used an adult chimp versus an adult human the adult human won hands down. So this proves one thing, humans loose memory as they grow older, duh we already knew that.
I guess if you want to say it proves that Chimps are smarter than college students you'd have to say they're smarter than Japanese College students, but i still contend that not what the study states.

I think that the story is made up? Who are the "they" you are speaking about? I think that they are the only ones that chimps are smarter than.

I think perhaps they may be better at concentration because they don't have other things on their minds but as far as the show Are you smarter than a 5th grader, I wonder how those two groups would compare? lol
