In India the procedure goes like this.
If the bill amount is below Rs1000 they send an executive to your address twice. n that all
If its above Rs1000 they send you a legal notice through an advocate requesting to attend a meeting with the advocate. failing this the company hands over the issue to a recovery agent who comes after you to get the money. These agents do any thing to get the money but if you are strong enough to show him a revolver, then the agents terms as irrecoverable debt and finally the cellphone company treats it as a bad debt.

No, They can barrage you with phone calls and letters, and sue you, and ruin your credit (well if you are not paying your bill just because you don't feel like it than YOU are ruining your credit). If there is a REASON why you arent paying your bill though like error, or family situation, you may be able to get a payment plan, or the bill reduced....

first of all, i might threaten to call the law enforcement officials on them for harassing a minor. they have not have been given any ideal to try this to a newborn. additionally, tell them that in the event that they call you lower back without producing a paper invoice, you will checklist their communique and sort available over to the police. First, make advantageous the declare is valid. Google the type - i does no longer be too bowled over if that's a rip-off and you detect one hundred different people who've fallen sufferer to their threats. the undeniable fact that they are harassing you and refusing to produce something in paper is amazingly suspicious. If, by twist of destiny, that's valid, pay the invoice, close the account, and tell them that any further tries to touch/complication you would be reported to the right government. humorous tale - my husband as quickly as have been given a invoice for 25 cents. the employer spent greater beneficial than that on postage to deliver the invoice. We the two have been given a solid snigger out of it. My husband later advised me that he deliver them 2 quarters with a be conscious saying, "save the replace."

Never for just not paying your bill. If you have defrauded them somehow, that may violate criminal law but the likelihood of you getting arrested over that ever is slim to none. This is generally a contract issue not a criminal issue and you don't get arrested for breach of contract.

Not outright. But they can sue you for the lost payments and will probably win, and if you fail to comply with the courts, you can be arrested.

I suspect they will:
first - stop service.
second - send your bill to a collection agency.
